Therapy for Chronic Distress

Schedule a 15 minutes consult

If you find yourself struggling with your emotions, distressed by painful thoughts, and feeling like your behaviors are out of control while living on autopilot for a long time, you may be stuck in a chronic distress cycle. This can look like a pattern of escape and avoidance. One day you might find yourself engaging in escape behaviors such as substance abuse, and the next, acting like the model person.

Oftentimes, chronic distress can emerge from a deeper sense of not feeling like you matter or not feeling recognized. Over time, this back-and-forth can lead to exhaustion, overwhelm, and burnout.

I can help you:

  • Create a space to process painful emotions and increase awareness of unhelpful patterns in order to manage emotional pain.

  • Learn new ways to manage emotions and behaviors by unhooking from habitual patterns and learning to experience emotions with openness and curiosity.

  • Become a witness to your past, allowing you the freedom to focus on your values and base your actions on wisdom and what truly matters most to you.
